Conversation with Erik Reece

Wednesday, October 17, 7-8:30 p.m., Highland Heights, Fine Arts Center, Greaves Hall

This year's Book Connection selection, "Lost Mountain" by Kentucky author Erik Reece, chronicles a year of mountaintop removal, a devastating form of strip-mining, on Lost Mountain in Perry County, Ky.

This year Book Connection is working in collaboration with The “One Book, One Community” program through Boone, Kenton and Campbell County Libraries. Their selection, "A Hangman’s Beautiful Daughter" by Sharyn McCrumb, is a fictional complement to "Lost Mountain." The “One Book, One Community” program will include a multitude of Appalachia-related events from September through November.
